Argonaut Entertainment is an independent film company based in Northern California. Founded in 1998 by Jason Denzel as Dragonmount Pictures, most of our work originally consisted of student or experimental movies. We've had some minor success with our projects, and are confident that the best is yet to come.
Our goal with every movie that we produce is to create an experience that will positively affect people. We do not try to please audiences, we try to please individuals. We seek to communicate on a one-to-one basis through these projects.
We are not politicians, doctors, fire-fighters, or prophets. We are average people who seek to make a difference in the world by creating exciting and touching moments on screen. If we manage to inspire or motivate, then our mission was accomplished.
How we do this is by constantly striving to reach a certain level of quality in all areas of production.
Ultimately, we're here to tell good stories and to have a positive impact on our audience. All of our stories are pitched internally, outlined, are revised many times over in order to get the best structure and most enjoyable story arcs. It is our belief that when the screenplay is solid, you are most of the way there in terms of making an enjoyable movie.
As much importance as we place upon the quality of our screenplays, we also believe that the technical aspects of creating a movie are essential to the final outcome. Digital technology is giving us the freedom to create anything we want. Our imaginations are now our only limit. (Well money, too, but we're not going to let a little detail like that stand between us and our goals).
All of our editing and production is done on cutting-edge software and hardware. By arming ourselves with the best tools we can get our hands on, we are allowing ourselves to focus on telling a story, and not having to worry about sub-quality tools.
Here are some of the key players in the organization:
